Spring Cleaning for a Cause at the Annual Rummage Sale
This year's Annual Rummage Sale which will take place on April 6th, we'll be expanding our list of beneficiaries and giving a portion of our profits from the sale, as well as specifically desired clothing and other in-kind items directly to Rosie's Place! Rosie's Place is a Boston based non-profit that offers shelter, sanctuary and support to over 12,000 poor and homeless women.
How to Donate:
Drop off clothing, accessories, shoes & household fabrics (bedding, towels, curtains, etc.) between now and April 6th at the side entrance of Union Congregational Church. Ideally items are presorted and in bags marked Women, Men, Boys, Girls or Household. All gently used items are accepted.
When is the Rummage Sale:
April 9th from 9-12 PM at Union Congregational Church at 55 Rhoades Ave. East Walpole, MA
What will be at the Rummage Sale:
*Clothing, accessories, shoes and household fabrics will be $5 per brown paper shopping bag or for individual sale.
*Yard Sale type items including household goods, jewelry, books and children's toys, books and puzzles
*Bake Sale
What happens with the left over items:
All items that are not needed by Rosie's Place and are not sold at the Rummage & Yard Sale will be donate to Cradles to Crayons, New Life Furniture Bank, the Walpole Library, recycled at local school recycling receptacles or dropped off at Savers.
Where do the proceeds go:
Proceeds will be split between Rosie’s Place and Union Congregational Church’s Christian Outreach efforts at work in Walpole and beyond. These efforts include the church’s mission trip Northern Maine where volunteers will work to improve housing conditions for those most in need.
